The Next 48 Hours With Ghostface
[November 8, 2009]

Looks like Wu-Tang, one of the most successful Hip Hop groups from the 90s, is trying to make a comeback. Method & Red dropped Blackout! 2 earlier this year, Raekwon dropped Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II a couple of months ago and now Ghostface comes out with Ghostdini: Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City. Method, Rae, and Ghostface are coming together once again to drop The Wu-Massacre later this year.

New Music Video: Chris Brown - I Can Transform Ya
[November 8, 2009]

This has got to be the best music video I've seen in ages! The video was directed by Joseph Kahn, who also did Ester Dean's "Drop It Low" and Eminem's "We Made You." The graphics and effects are amazing and nearly flawless. My favorite part is when Wayne is talking to the girl and her outfit is secretly transforming (:

Jay-Z Responds to Beanie Sigel
[October 31, 2009]

Jay-Z has responded to the barbed words of Beanie Sigel, in the aftermath of a diss song called “What You Talkin Bout I Ain’t Your Average Cat at a Canadian Press conference. Jay-Z appeared at Montreal’s Bell Centre to answer questions from writers and reporters.

Sigel, once a prominent rapper in Jay’s Roc-A-Fella Records, expressed a number of issues with his former comrade. These matters ranged from loyalty to allegations that he had Sigel removed from a concert in Philadelphia by police. Jay-Z made no mention of most questions that bothered Sigel, but he did say he felt he helped his counterpart greatly in an interview with a Canadian site.

“Beanie Sigel, to be honest and you can look it up, just to be honest…was driving two Bentleys. I don’t know how,” Jay-Z said at a press conference to the Canadian Hip-Hop site. “Its impossible to drive two cars at the same time. With his momma in the sticks, selling 800,000. I don’t know what more you can do for somebody.” “What people choose to do when they obtain that type of success, at some point you gotta look in the mirror and look at yourself,” Jay continued. “Beanie Sigel had a record deal, a record label and a clothing line…and never went platinum. Ever. I don’t know in the history of rap has anyone done so much with so little. So, I don’t know what more can you do for a person at that point. A record deal - that’s normal. A record label and a clothing line. If that’s not pushing the person…s**t.”

Friday morning, Sigel spoke to Philadelphia radio host Charlamagne Tha God and aired out his grievances, which seemed more about loyalty than any other topic. “I think I held my tongue long enough about this whole Roc-a-Fella situation,” Sigel. “I was the realest thing that happened to the Roc. The Roc was just a rock. I brought the Fellas to Roc-a-Fella Records; Hot 97, State Prop, y’all remember. I brought the street cred to that. I fought all them battles: Jadakiss, Nas, Dipset. Anybody you woulda told me to go after. Matter of fact, you ain’t even have to tell me. I frontlined for that thing of ours, for that diamond that people was throwin’ up. I’da took a bullet at that time.”

Sigel also stated the he wasn’t really dissing Jay-Z even though some of his raps seemed to counter that assertion.

The displeased rapper explained, “I’m not really dissing Jay. It’s certain parts in there where my emotions … it’s an emotional record for me. When I listened to The Blueprint 3, I heard a lot of shots directed towards people.

Lamar Odom, Khloe Kardashian Finalize Pre-Nup
[October 19, 2009]

The Lakers' Lamar Odom may have married Khloe Kardashian pretty quickly, but he also made sure to cover his ass too ... with a pre-nup.

The newlyweds recently hammered out details of their prenuptial agreement, according to a report from RadarOnline.com.

In the case of an unfortunate divorce, Khloe will reportedly receive around $500,000 for every year they were married, $25,000 a month in general support, their new house, a new luxury vehicle at the end of every lease cycle, $5,000 a month for shopping, $1,000 for beauty care, and ... get this ... courtside Lakers tickets for everyone in her family.

An insider told the site that a divorce isn't in their near future though, because they're "very much in love."

"There is a tremendous amount of love between the two, and that will prevail in the end," the source said. "It might get rocky at times, but Lamar and Khloe are very much in love."

The couple married in late September during a lavish wedding in Beverly Hills, which E! is said to have footed the bill for.

Tila Tequila Explains Recent Suicidal Tweets — Says She’s Seeking Help
[October 11, 2009]

If you follow Tila Tequila on Twitter (@OfficialTila), you're aware that she can go off the deep end sometimes with her rants. Last week, she went a little too far, claiming she was fed up with the world and ready to commit suicide.

The disturbing tweets drew criticism from some of her followers, who accused her of posting the messages for attention while others showed genuine concern.

"I am going to kill myself cuz I don't want to life in a world where its filled with IGNORANCE! which majority of you ARE! & racists!" she threatened. "As dark descends into my world ... I drown at night, without a fight. One last breath before I go. Dont mourn me world, I will die slow."

In a blog entry on Russell Simmons' GlobalGrind.com, Tila explained herself in a post titled "Suicide Is Not The Answer", saying she was "embarrassed and ashamed that the whole world witnessed my very public meltdown."

The full post is below:

I just wanted to take a moment to address all of my fans and the people I care about regarding my recent public suicidal meltdown online. I don't usually issue statements to address rumors, but since Suicide is a very serious subject, I felt that it is my responsibility to come clean and speak out about it, as emotional and personal as it is. I feel like it is still my duty to take responsibility for my own actions. Sometimes I tend to forget that I am a public figure and with that, comes a lot of responsibility and suicide is not the type of message I want to send out. I always want to make sure that I am sending out positive messages so I felt that it's important for me to speak up this time. If I continue to ignore this and pretend as though it never happened, then I failed myself and my fans. This is not one of my proudest moments to be sitting here and explaining to the world something so emotional and personal, but I need to stop being selfish. This is not one of my proudest moments to share with the world, but maybe it can help save someone else's life who ends up reading this.

Recently I was involved in a highly publicized case of Domestic Violence, and I have never really spoken out about it. I do not want to bring this up again, however it has been a very difficult situation for me. Not being able to speak to people about it in public, and having to pretend to move on (with life) as though nothing ever happened, has taken a heavy toll on me, physically, as well as mentally. It has been a tough recovery process and I try to take it all in day by day because dealing with all of this in the public eye, and getting scrutinized by the media can be very hurtful. I have tried my best to stay strong and try to move on with my life, but because of the post traumatic stress that I have suffered from that incident, and the tremendous amount of pressure from the media scrutiny, I finally had a public meltdown. For one person to have to deal with the weight of the world on her shoulders, it's not as easy as one may think. I didn't allow myself time to fully recover and take it easy. I kept pushing and pushing myself until I became mentally exhausted. On the outside I would put on a smile so that my fans and family wouldn't worry about me, but on the inside, I was falling apart. I didn't give myself a chance to rely on anyone for emotional support and therefor, I became isolated. So I just want to say that I am very sorry if I worried my fans and all of the people close to me, because the last thing I want to do is hurt them or send out the wrong message. I have been seeking medical attention because I know that the little girl inside of me still has a lot to live for. I am slowly, but surely, picking up all of the broken pieces and trying to put it all back together again. All deep wounds take a lot of time to heal, but most importantly, it takes strength and courage. I just want to let you all know that I very much appreciate all of your love, support and prayers. Sometimes people tend to forget that "celebrities" are humans too, and every once in a while, we tend to have a meltdown. Luckily for me, I am now surrounded with all of my friends and family who are showing me a lot of support. I am a bit embarrassed and ashamed that the whole world witnessed my very public meltdown about being suicidal, but at the same time, I know that I shouldn't be. I believe that it was God's way of trying to help me because it is not my time to die. Had I not spoken out for help, my loved ones would not have seen my cry for help, and I probably wouldn't be alive today to write this letter to you. Had I not done what I did that night, I most definitely would have made the biggest mistake of my life, that I can never undo.....

With that said, what I have learned from this is that life is such a precious thing and we must not take it for granted! The fact that I am still alive today, to be able to wake up and see what the world has to offer me, I have never appreciated a day more than today!

So for everyone else out there who feels suicidal for whatever reason, please know that there's nothing in life so bad that it's worth taking your own life. Just know that you are not alone and no matter how bad things seem to get, things can only get better...you just have to have faith and stay strong. If I can survive this, then so can you! God put us all here, every single one of us for a reason....and you just have to ride it out. Suicide is not the answer. It is a cowards way of giving up. Choose life because you have the power to change it! You have the power to write out your own happy ending in the story that you are living to tell. We all must remember that tomorrow comes after the dark, and everyday is a new day! After the storm passes the Sun will always be there to shine on you once again! We have only one life to live, so why not give it a try? It takes a stronger person to fight through the hard times, then take the easy way out!!!! DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!! God Bless!"

Sincerely,
Tila

T-Pain Drops Freestyle Apologizing To Jay-Z for Recent Diss
[October 1, 2009]

T-Pain leaked a new song to the internet this week, in which he apologizes to Jay-Z for publicly dissing him last month during a performance in Las Vegas.

In the new track, where Pain croons over Drake's "Successful" intrumental," the singer blames the alcohol for saying "F*** Jay-Z."

"So that Nuvo got me poppin' sh**," Pain starts things off with. "All right, so let's talk about this Jay sh** / Somedays I wish that I ain't never say sh** / And Diddy said ain't no excuse for what I did / But I felt like he was knocking the same sh** that feeds my kids / I do music 'cause I need it to make my world spin / So when you down it, it's like you dissing my girlfriend."

Then later, as Pain continues to plead his case, he says that all Jay had to do to put him at ease -- after dropping the damaging "D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune)" track -- is tell the world that he and T-Pain "were cool."

In the end, the singer says it's "his bad" for dissing him.

"If you really feel like I'm dead, then n**** me too / I ain't tryna write your rhymes / But you coulda skipped one DJ and all you had to say was 'T-Pain, we cool'," Pain says in the song. "But by all means don't take this as a diss or hatin' / I just wanna explain my side of the situation / So if you knew just how much respect I had / You'd know that I'm a real n**** when I say, 'My bad.'"

(Listen to T-Pain's "Successful (Freestyle)" here )

During a performance in Las Vegas in early September, T-Pain was caught on camera dissing Jay after a fan in the crowd yelled out "Jay-Z destroyed you."

The comment pissed him off so bad that he took aim at Jay, saying "f*** Jay", as well as calling him old.

Not only did fans catch the diss on camera, but rapper Fabolous was also in attendence, and tweeted about it. Then, later dissed T-Pain for it.

In a radio interview a few days later, T-Pain explained his frustration with the "D.O.A." song, and his disappointment with Jay never publicly saying it wasn't a diss toward him.

He said he was sorry, and said there was no beef between he and Jay-Z, and/or Fabolous.

President Obama Calls Kanye West A Jackass
[September 15, 2009]

Damn, Kanye West is getting it from all angles. Even the president didn't like what he did to Taylor Swift at the VMAs.

Barack Obama reportedly called West "a jackass" in an off-the-record comment during an inerview with CNBC on Monday (September 14).

No one would've known it, but ABC's Terry Moran tweeted about it, making it public news: "President Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential."

Since it became news, ABC issues a statement to Politico.com regarding the issue:

"In the process of reporting on remarks by President Obama that were made during a CNBC interview, ABC News employees prematurely tweeted a portion of those remarks that turned out to be from an off-the-record portion of the interview. This was done before our editorial process had been completed. That was wrong. We apologize to the White House and CNBC and are taking steps to ensure that it will not happen again."

The White House has not made a comment.
